How Does NIB Work?

You avail of insurance through NIB as you would acquire any personal health insurance. You should primarily have completed the formalities, and have the insurance active before the commencement of the treatment.

Step 1: Check NIB website – nib.com.au, login and verify your health insurance coverage from NIB.

Step 2: Make an appointment with Smiles in Currambine.

Step 3: When you arrive for your appointment at Smiles in Currambine, mention NIB insurance coverage for your treatment as your payment method at the front desk.

Step 4: Start your dental treatment.

Eligibility Requirements for NIB Coverage

1. You must be at least 18 years old and able to form legally binding contracts.

2. You must be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia.

3. You can be an overseas student and worker that meets the Australian Department of Home Affairs’ (DHA) visa conditions.

4. You must possess a valid email address and a mobile phone number.

5. You must have an Australian bank account or credit card.

6. You must be able to provide your bank account or credit card number and basic information about yourself to complete the transaction.

I’m not a big fan of the dentist but because Dr Saket is so kind and talks through the whole procedure I keep going back there.😀
