Dr Saket Rai (Principal Dentist)

Dr Saket Rai is a very passionate dentist who believes in providing high quality dentistry, in a professional and caring manner. He has over 15 years of experience in general dentistry with a keen interest in Dental Implants, wisdom teeth removal, laser dentistry, cosmetic dentistry and Digital Smile Design. He likes keeping abreast with the latest in dental technology and adopts them early into his practice, to stay at the forefront.


In 2004, Dr Saket Rai obtained the Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in India, following which he worked as a dental surgeon in India for three years before moving to Australia to complete his Masters in Forensic Odontology at UWA. He completed his Australian Dental Council Examination in 2011 from Victoria and has since then been working in Perth, WA. In 2017, Dr Rai took ownership of Smiles in Currambine and is the principal dentist.

Dr Rai has a particular interest and extensive experience in dental implants. He began his dental implant training, in both surgical and restorative procedures, under the mentorship of Dr Michael Zaninovich (prosthodontist) and over the years he has attended several intensive courses by local specialists like Dr Rick Lazar, Dr Misagh Habibi and also Internationally acclaimed industry leaders like Dr Radoslaw Jadach, Dr Sascha Jovanovic and Dr Ricardo Kern. Dr Saket Rai firmly believes in continuing professional education and self-development as the best means to providing the highest standards of care for patients.

When not at work, Dr Rai enjoys spending time with his 2 young boys and likes to read books, watch documentaries and cricket!

The risk of exposure to the virus in our dental surgery is extremely low. We are an accredited dental practice and maintain the highest quality of care and standards at all times irrespective of any outbreaks such as Coronavirus.

We sterilise our instruments and disinfect all clinical and reception areas after each patient to prevent any risk of cross-contamination. Our staff are fully trained and certified to do this to the highest standards.

What Specifically Are We Doing at Our Practice to Protect Patients?

Our strict protocol includes our receptionists establishing in advance if patients:

  • Have any symptoms including fever/history of fever and shortness of breath or a cough or a sore throat.
  • They have travelled overseas or interstate in the last 2 weeks.
  • Been in close contact with anyone who has had confirmed Coronavirus (COVID-19) or who has been in a health facility treating them.
  • Visited any exposure sites or high risk area as per Healthy WA

We would like to ask patients who have travelled to high-risk zones and exposure sites within the last 2 weeks to postpone non-urgent general dental treatment, if in doubt please call us on 9305 4888.
